I was speaking to a friend today and while I was in the middle of a sentence, I found myself in one of those all too familiar situations of late; when I totally forgot the context of what I was saying. Of course I broke up laughing, but in that same moment, I said to my friend, “Holy crap, sometimes I find it so hard to believe that I actually wrote a memoir, going back almost fifty years in detail, yet I can’t even remember what I had for dinner the night before.”
I know that crazy “change” will do strange things to us, perhaps that is why I chose to write my second book, a satirical humourous tale of menopause. We have to laugh at those blank moments which happen, along with the other memorable (or maybe not so memorable), side-effects that come with this phase of life. I like to try and always make light of a not so favourable situation, as scary as it can sometimes be.
You just Godda laugh!

If I didn’t laugh, I’d cry but I don’t want to exaggerate my wrinkles. ;-D
