Quick Tips To Help You Tighten Up Your Writing | Catherine, Caffeinated

This is a reblog I thought I would share with you writers out there. It never hurts to be reminded too many times on how to cut the fat out of our writing. Catherine Ryan Howard has shared these tips from author C.S. Lakin.

Quick Tips To Help You Tighten Up Your Writing | Catherine, Caffeinated.

I hope you enjoy these tips. I find it handy to be reminded of these tips to keep me from falling into the same pitfalls repeatedly. As writers we don’t often notice these little oversights unless we have our ‘editing’ eyes finely tuned in.

  1. Thanks for this link. It’s always good to be reminded.
Also a very BIG thank you for the great review you gave my book Mourning Has Broken on Amazon. I only noticed it yesterday. I’m glad you enjoyed it. You were extremely generous in your review:)

    1. I loved it Carol. I was happy to write it. As a writer I could feel you bear your soul and as a child I could relate to so much, especially the void in expressing displays of affection within a family. πŸ™‚

  2. Debby, thanks for the link … found the post very interesting – still struggling with my Swenglish, but there was things I will take to use. I wish you a pleasant weekend.

    1. Thanks Viv, happy weekend to you as well. Yes, we can all use some reminders when our minds get carried away with the pen (or keys) πŸ™‚

  3. Forgotten to ask … where did you find this photo *smile ???? So funny, but also disgusting – but when I saw it … I understood the meaning with straight away.

    1. Lol, I used to use so many sites to borrow photos, or google but check out photobucket.com, that is where I got this one. To the point, lol.

  4. HL=huge like… πŸ™‚ in my region, duck fat is very popular and even healthy, so I’ll have some for lunch with magret de canard fumΓ©=smoked duck breast and a glass of red Bordeaux wine… you’re kindly invited, of course! cheers & c u asap! πŸ™‚
