I have a confession to make. . .
My book marketing activities have basically been nil in 2016. For those of you who follow me, you know I had a lovely two-month winter escape to Arizona, and then came back to a very long three months of my husband being ill. Not only did my book writing suffer, but marketing my books was the furthest thing from my mind.
Well, I’m happy to announce that I will be getting back to my current WIP in the next week or so, starting revisions. And while getting my head back in the game to book writing, it occurred to me that I haven’t run a single promo for any of my books this year.
Download your copy here at Amazon
So, in honor of my ‘back to work’ on the sequel to Conflicted Hearts (which still happens to be title-less), I have put Conflicted Hearts on FREE promo starting TODAY! If you haven’t yet got a copy of the book, please click on THIS LINK where you will be directed to the Amazon page of your country to get yourself a free copy. And if I may request, once you’ve read the book and enjoyed it, please take the time to leave a review. As many of you are well aware, reviews are an author’s gold!
You can read some reviews HERE.
Promo ends May 21st, so get your copy now! 🙂
Yay! Glad to see you back. I went to the link and it wants me to buy some kind of subscription. Any way to work around that, that you know?

Now that is strange J? I just checked the link and it’s fine? I used a universal link so it would take each reader to the Amazon page of their own country. Try the amazon.com link if you’re having a problem http://www.amazon.com/dp/b00hdtppuq And thank you! ❤

I tried the link again, and to read for free, it still wants me to buy an Amazon subscription to Kindle Unlimited. Either way it asks for credit card information, and I have none. Lol. Oh, well.

J, you live in the US? And if so, have you ever bought books or anything on Amazon? Just asking because if you haven’t, maybe it just wants you to sign up for an account. Did you try the other link I left you, amazon direct? http://www.amazon.com/dp/b00hdtppuq

Yes and yes. I’ve had an Amazon account for years, and have already downloaded things to a kindle app, so I don’t know what the issue is…I don’t want a kindle subscription, I just want to download your book! 🙂

Glad you sorted it out. Perhaps your own anti virus had something to do with that page you were getting to, possibly? I know I get some weird stuff coming up lately when I go to Amazon on Chrome browser and since I switched my anti virus. Also, don’t forget, Mercury hasn’t left us in the retrograde stage just yet, anything that can go wrong, usually does, lol. 🙂

Not sure what it was, maybe a time some difference between my location and Amazon location. Day specific stuff is like that, won’t work until a certain hour passes on the hosting server.

Well, that’s fun, Debby. My TBR pile is filling up with indie books, and knowing the authors is just about as fun as it gets. Happy reading to both of us. 🙂

Indeed it is Diana. We all have the endless TBR syndrome lol. But I think it makes a book even more interesting when I know the author too. 🙂

This is a terrific deal not only because it’s free but because it’s a great book as well. I read it and highly recommend it. In fact I read all of D.G.books and am a fan of her sometimes quirky, at times fun and always comforting writing. 🙂

Thanks so much, Debby. I’m not surprised you haven’t had enough time to think about marketing. I hope everything is well. I am always convinced I’ve bought all the books I see but it seems I hadn’t, so I’ve taken the chance. I was talking about free books on the radio but didn’t see this until after. I’ll talk about it in the blog soon. Best of luck!

Oh thanks so much Olga. I know, it’s hard to remember what books we already have waiting for us in our TBR’s. But the good thing about Amazon is if you’ve already purchased it, they let you know so you’re not buying it twice. 🙂

Hi Debby. I’m glad things are getting back to normal for you. May your year keep getting better and better.
I feel you about the lack of marketing. But for me, that was something I realized I would not be able to do, from the beginning of my “grand experiment in indie.” It’s still a big experiment for me, but I’m having a good time.
Congrats on the lovely reviews!
Ooooh… what about “Conflicted Minds.”…..
Mega hugs!

Hi Teag! Marketing is a big time consumer for all of us Indies Teag. And just when it seems we have a handle on things, things change again. But look how much we’re learning, lol. Oh, I do like Conflicted Minds. 🙂 xoxo

I’m glad you’re getting your life back and doing what you love. I don’t see how you do it all, Debby. I can’t seem to focus on marketing and write creatively at the same time. There isn’t enough time or juice. At the moment, perhaps for the summer, I want to pull back from the addictive social media/marketing focus so I can work on my book. 1000 words, 4 days a week. It’s time to give myself days of silent retreat, but truth is I’m tired after my brother’s death and slowed down. The muse says, “Rest first. Then we’ll talk.”

I’m trying to get back, intermittently it’s been Elaine. I do so hear you that there’s so much to upkeep and writing seems to take the brunt of the hits sometimes. It’s good you have goals, we have to make goals or life will keep throwing things at us and we’d never get any writing done.
You certainly have had your hands and heart full. Take a breather. I know that I’ll have to cut back something soon if I’m ever going to get through the rewrites of my current WIP. So many life interuptions. Just today I lost 5 hours researching how to fight off Microsoft from taking liberty to download Windows 10 all by itself on 2 of my computers. I’m going to write a helpful post about it this evening so I can spare others the waste of time, and the fix.
Yes, rest is a great idea. 🙂
