My 4 Star Review:

This little book is a combined synopsis and prequel to the original book, giving us a glimpse into how our connections with lost loved ones is never lost, and we have only to be open to receive messages through song, art, music, and serendipity and synchronicity. We are all born with the gift of light says Jackson, and if we’re open to the universe, it will help to unfold these messages to let us know our lost loved are watching over us.

The book shares some of the inspirational stories about how people have received messages from the beyond. It’s both heartwarming and inspirational just to think we are able to receive these messages if we are open and pay attention to ‘the signs’. For example, you may remember a certain phrase a loved one was notorious for saying, and you may come across someone who mentions that phrase – this is one of the ways the universe is letting us know that a loved one is sending you a message.

This is a quick read at just 40 pages, and gives us a good idea what to expect from the book – just know that you won’t find the meat of the matters – the ‘how’ about how these energies synchronize with the other side, as there isn’t much scientific explanation.

  1. Sounds interesting. I haven’t delved into this topic in a long time but you remind me why I once enjoyed it. And–good interview about you over at Sally’s!

  2. This sounds like an interesting book, Deb. I’m still trying to figure out how someone other than the actual author can write a prequel to their book…but on the subject of after life, I often will seek signs for messages from my grandmother. Though when my father passed away last summer, I had fear of such connection. Thanks for sharing, Deb. Always great to find out about what books you’re reading and recommending.

    1. Thanks for sharing Lis. Yes, you must be open to receiving. If you have fears, they won’t come near you. 🙂 Ya, I thought it was interesting too about the author. When I went to Amazon, I noticed quite a few of ‘zip reads’ listed. I’m curious to know who is creating them 🙂

  3. Interesting Debby.. it is a fascinating subject and I can remember being told as a child that butterflies were messengers and even as an adult, if one lands on my I do see it as a sign of something impending. More often than not it is. Mostly good but sometimes not… thanks for the review. ♥♥

    1. That is so true Robbie. If we have a strong connection with someone and they’re far away, we can sometimes sense somethings about them too. I’m sure the full book would pull something from that. 🙂

  4. Sounds like an interesting read, Debby. But what interested me most was the disclaimer and the request for the author or publisher to contact them if they had any questions. Seems like it was made available without the author’s approval.

    1. Ya Norah. I found this so odd because when I clicked on the book and the ads coming up were all ‘zipreads’. I’m wondering, who is making these, is someone taking liberties? Is this an Amazon project? Good questions! 🙂
