Happy, Happiest of New Years as we Kick This 2020 to the Can

I don’t think there are enough words to say about this past year of learning, loss and lack of real living, but I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier to kick a year to the can and to ring in a new one.

Yes, we cheer and always wish others well for a Happy New Year, but I think I can speak for the world when I say, we’ve never had a year like this one we shared globally, and each of us has swam our own waters and no doubt encountered our own sharks. I hope for all the world has been through this year we’ve all learned lessons whether great or small, if only for gratitude for the very things that sustain us and the freedoms we have.

May we celebrate the welcoming of a newer, better and kinder year for us all

Countdown to boot 2020

Join me in ushering this year out with a big heave ho, and open our arms with wishes of joy, health, peace and happiness for the new year and forward!

Joy to the world

Happy and Safe New Year to you all. I’ll be joining a few of my writing friends in a bit of a break from the blog world for a few weeks into mid January, but don’t be surprised if I show up from time to time till then.

    1. Maybe all this sheltering at home is doing more good than harm there. It definitely has made some positive changes. Experts will be analyzing the effects of COVID-19 and its political repercussions for decades to come.

  1. Happy New Year, Sis. Let’s all shine our light of positivity on the world together. Goodness knows we all need it. Here’s to 2021… may we leave the ugliness of politics and a pandemic far behind us. It’s the new Age of Aquarius! ❤

  3. And a Happy and safe New Year to you, too, Debby. 2020 certainly took us by surprise and has been the worst of years for so many. My heart goes out to those bereaved and desolate. Here’s to a brighter future. ❤ ❤

    1. Yes Toni, I like to call it ‘Global exhaustion’, we’ve all had our own stories to bear with these times. Only good things for a new year of goodness. ❤ xx

  5. I agree that 2020 was a crazy year and most of us want to get it over with, Debbie. There is hope on the horizon with a vaccine, and I sincerely our collective politicians can keep the perspective of public health and our economies. I’m sharing my retrospective for Sunday Stills. Despite the uncertainty, there were some positive notes in 2020 that spurred my hubby and I to get out of California much sooner than expected. I literally thank the pandemic for this decision.

Cheers to a safe, happy new year to you and your husband! 🎉❤

    1. Everything happens for a reason of syncronocity Terri. Lucky you are all moved and will start your new life in the New Year! Ya, the best part of 2020 for me was when I was in Mexico February and got home just in time March for lockdown. Seems like years ago lol 🙂 Stay safe and enjoy! ❤ x

    2. I agree, Terri. We both took our leave and frankly, most of the empatus was COVID-19. There is always some good and some bad in everything in life and this pandemic is no different. What is different is that it happened globally. We have all in the same boat. We can’t blame any body’s government for their responses because it is unprecidented and each government did what they thought was right. We can hope that the vaccine is effective in bringing down the numbers of cases and definitely the deaths. It’s been puzzling who has died and who has not. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to the scientists. I wish you the best New Year ever in WA. Lots of love. Stop by and participate or link to #WQWWC for this week’s topic – New Beginnings! You’re perfect for it. 🙂

  7. I remain optimistic for 2021, but realistically I know we have a long road ahead before this pandemic is under control. If people would follow the recommendations of the medical professionals, we would reach our goal faster and with fewer causalities. Have a safe and joyous New Year.

  10. Thank you Debbie… I so wish you and your hubby a Happy New Earth Year… Yes you are so right, so many lessons, so many insights… So many now waking to the false Matrix of this world..

I agree with you, I have never been so thankful to seeing the back of a year… Even though we have a Storm to get through in the next few months ahead, I have also never felt so much at peace..

And this year has also been a reminder to many of us, to be grateful for what we have, and appreciate the small things in life we have so taken for granted over the years.. As we have watched our freedoms erroded..

But one thing that is not for sale or will ever be relinquished from me, is my Sovereignty or my Soul…. And I think the Human collective Human Spirit has been totally miss-read…. We have gone along with many things this past year as we have listened to others and their rules and words..

But I firmly believe in 2021 THE People will rise into their own new rolls, as the Light and the Truth which will unfold will set us free..

Much love dear Debby, May you have a Happy New Earth Year dear friend … I am excited at the prospects… Hold no Fear!…

Love and Hugs.. Sue ❤ 💚🙏💛✨

    1. Thank you sooooooooo much Sue for your insights and wishes. I am with you all the way as usual. The awakenings will continue. And yes we are rid of a tumultuous year of uncertainty moving forward still into the light. I feel this too, the first few months will be rocky as the changes continue and truth rises to power. Amen my friend. In the light we march onwards. Happy, Happy brand New Year my dear friend. Love and light your way! ❤ ❤

  11. You certainly do speak for the world in your post. I love the imagery of kicking the can. I also love your wish for a better and kinder world. May 2021 be a year of greater kindness and compassion. If anything, 2020 has taught us that we are not alone (although we were often alone physically). All the best to you and your loved ones for a year filled with joy, love and beauty. Enjoy your break! ❤

    1. Thank you Robbie. Happy New Year. I know. I can’t stay away from world news. It’s bloody awful everywhere. The UK is in full lockdown til March! My province in Canada is under the same! Double mask time. Stay safe Robbie! ❤

  13. May you have a great 2021, Deb.
It hasn’t started well for us in the UK. Today we are back in full lockdown, which they are currently suggesting will be in place until March, and even then only a gradual lifting of restrictions.
The faster they can roll out the vaccine the better!
At least I can get more writing and reading time. I hope your year starts better than ours, and you can stay safe and keep avoiding this killer virus.

    1. Happy New Year Deb! Yesssssss, I know what’s going on in your neck of the woods, and it isn’t much different here. Our whole province is in lockdown. It’s like the beginning all over again. All our gov’ts better find a more efficient way to roll out the damn vaccines! Stay safe where you are!!! ❤

  14. Belated Happy New Year to you Debbie! There were a few good things about 2020 – families grew closer and parents spent more time with children, people got outside for exercise, working from home was discovered to be nearly as effective as working in an office, and we got a vaccine in record time. I’m a half full glass person I guess.
For me, I got a grandson!
