It’s been awhile since I hopped on to one of Colleen Chesebro’s Poetry Challenges, and as one known for not tolerating injustice, I felt compelled to join in this week’s poetry challenge with a Senryu. This week’s challenge we are free to choose any form of syllabic poetry we like, but must include a color.

Black hearts, empty souls Stealing freedoms, women's rights Darkness reigns Supreme
If you’d like to join Colleen’s weekly challenge, please visit the original post.

Very topical… wouldn’t it be great if we all spoke up about injustice?

Yes, it would be wonderful and greatly needed. 🙂

Very apt and deeply felt. What else can one say? It’s amazing how some things and some people’s minds seem to go backward rather than forward. Thanks, Debby.

You said it perfectly, Sis. For the life of me, I can’t figure out their end game. Over 70% of Americans believe abortion law should be left alone. You would think this would be political sucide. One can only hope. This MAGA crowd is totally insane!

I feel that in my core, Debby. I can only hope that the masses will rise up and prevent these outliers from destroying the future of women in this country. 😥

Hi Debbie Have your current feelings about women’s rights got anything to do with the move to try and overturn Roe v. Wade in the USA. That will be a giant step backwards for women’s rights and take the USA right back to the dark ages as far as I am concerned. I find it all very weird.

They certainly do Robbie. Also the fact that often what happens in the US tends to follow up to our side of the border. In fact, our government in Canada has already spoken out about this and assured Canadians our laws are solid and assured us we have nothing to worry about. Thanks for asking Robbie. ❤
