Today I want to help promote my Sister/Friend, Colleen Chesebro’s new publishing service business – Unicorn Cats Publishing. Don’t you just love the name? I want to help share with the announcement of Colleen’s new business (she never asked me to) because I’m not only so happy for her new venture, but because I can personally recommend her services. Colleen is a workaholic when it comes to her writing, poetry, and book reviews, but what some of you may not know, Colleen is amazing with techy stuff, backdoor blog nasties, and is a forever learner, always keeping up with what’s new in the publishing biz.

Recently, Colleen has opened up her self-publishing services, offering formatting manuscripts for publishing, and she is now creating beautiful book covers, with AMAZINGLY fair pricing. She is also much too humble to even be tooting her own horn, so I am helping do that for her. And how do I know how talented she is at book design? Well, of course, because she has already created the perfect book cover for my own upcoming book, which I had been struggling with what I wanted on the cover for ages, but Colleen came up with the perfect one within minutes of my sending her the synopsis for my book. But, I will be keeping the reveal a secret for a little while longer.  So I will share below, a cover she has recently designed for Marjorie Mallon’s latest book, The Hedge Witch & the Musical Poet:

  10. Thanks for sharing Colleen’s new business and talents here, Debby. I’m sure many of us will consider her services for a next book or project. Hiring someone who comes recommended by other author friends makes total sense. 🙂 The word of mouth thing will go a long way.

  12. Hi Debby, your post couldn’t be more timely because I’m currently working on my next book of poetry. I had originally planned to go with the same company I used for More than Coffee to self-publish and I do have an editor, but now I have another option to consider. 🙂
    As with my previous books, I’ve used my own photos for my book covers, so I’d probably want to stick with that plan, if it would still work with Colleen’s services. I’ll contact her later for more details and price. Thanks for your excellent recommendation and for Marjories’s testimonial. ❤️

      1. By the way, I’ve got to tell you this! Last night I read one of the books you recommended (the one about spiritual guides and numbers). I must admit, I was a bit skeptical (even though I get “messages” re numbers all the time from my mom, particularly 4:44). Anyway, I kind of rolled my eyes at part of the book and decided “I’ll turn it off now, go to bed, but first look at the time and see if there’s a special number (eye roll). And I looked up: 10:10. !!!! I’m a believer…..
