Leave it to Sarah Brentyn of Lemon Shark, to think of a humiliating blog challenge, lol. Sarah has chosen me among her 5 picks to reblog my very first post on WordPress.

 

Now we all now how we cringe when we look back at some of our earlier works, especially when we first begin blogging and have no real concept of what on earth we want to blog about. But Sarah has chosen me as one of the blogger’s  to visit the depth’s of my archives and I’m not going to chicken out.

Ironically, although this was the first post showing up, February 2013, WordPress has recently congratulated me on 5 years of blogging. I’m not sure where they got that first year from, possibly when I began blogging at ‘Myspace’ and moved over to WordPress and had copied over some of those posts, and maybe I had deleted them when I moved over to self-hosted WordPress, but whatever the case, I SWEAR SARAH BRENTYN, this is the first one I found. LOL. As Sarah had made it blatantly clear, we are not to substitute for the first post we’ve made.

Now, I can’t remember that far back, but seeing as I like to read and write about inspirational things, I’m guessing I chose to write this post categorized in ‘inspiration’.

Completely silly rules that I’m making up as I type:

    2. LOL thanks Sarah. It was a fun hunting expedition. Ya, I copied it as it was originally copied to WP from Myspace, lol. When I first started chatting on the internet yearsssssss ago, I had a bad habit of typing in caps. I thought they were easier to see, lol, and many people told me to stop ‘shouting’. Seriously, who decided caps meant shouting? Anyhoo, it may have been my rebellious nature to retain the caps at the time. And it seems the caps have become the highlight of the post LOL. 🙂 🙂 ❤

      1. It really is fun. It’s so interesting to see where we started, if we changed our focus, our style… Or even our, um, love of ALL CAPS. That does seem to be a highlight, doesn’t it? I DON’T KNOW WHO DECIDED IT WAS SHOUTING BUT I CAN SEE HOW YOU’D THINK IT WAS EASIER TO SEE SINCE, YOU KNOW, IT KIND OF IS. 😉 Although, again, I do think the content is lovely. Sweet dreams!

  11. Thanks so much for choosing me for this challenge, Debby. Unfortunately, I deleted my very first post sometime ago when I was going through all my posts deleting those images I was not quite sure were 100% free (can you guess who it was that got me onto doing that? There were two of you). The post did get two likes and was viewed five times, but it was defiantly written at a time that I was not being myself. I’m sure I was possessed at the time, so it had to go (along with another 50 or so posts).
    Your first post certainly gave readers something to think about. And, because it was all in capital letters, I imaged you shouting it. Congratulations on 5 years of blogging. I’ve just passed the 3 years milestone.

    1. Lol Hugh, you crack me up! And I completely understand your situation. And no worries, I’m going to give you a free pass to bail on the challenge because your reasons are valid! LOL. Yup, I DID LOVE THOSE CAPS!!!! Congrats on your 3 years my friend. Look how far we’ve come!
