  2. Thanks for the links, Debby. I found the Twitter article very interesting, especially because I see so many authors ‘spamming’ their own books on Twitter.
Loving the new blog look and layout.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
    Christmas hugs,

  3. Thanks for good tips. I’ve read Jeri and Rachel’s excellent pieces. I’ve experimented enough to know that on twitter, I might get many shares but that rarely leads to many reads–depending on the topic, of course, but the ratio of reading to liking and sharing is low. I also don’t get much action on LinkedIn, but then I don’t put much energy there. I do the best by far on Facebook and have a growing response to my author page and what I post there. I also do well with finding new readers when I post articles at well-read sites.

My writing focus now is on preparing for cochlear implant surgery and learning to hear again–while preparing for a May weekend workshop. Both give me grist for the blog mill, but I hope the workshop will bring more focus on a larger project. Sometimes life has a mind of its own, as this surgery pulling me in one direction and the workshop in another. As always, I’ll see what happens next and keep writing.

    1. So true Elaine, we never know where are our intentions will lead us. And I’m with you on social media, certain avenues work better for some and not others. Facebook is where my most engagement is too. 🙂
