The cradle rocks, I am serene in these new surroundings; in this new world.
Peaceful it sounds, nothing in thought; for I am new here; not yet aware of the complications of life.
At first I crawl, then I take my first steps.
Confusion now stirs within, unsettling thoughts; the noise becomes louder.
I watch the children laugh and play as they are coddled by their mothers.
While my tummy churns, I do my chores and keep my words silent so that I may avoid the angry words for what I didn’t do well enough.
I’ve become a chess pawn in this game of life; a messenger between husband and wife.
The onus is on me to make it better; a child without the tools.
The hurts have tallied, enough guilt to carry for a lifetime.
It’s time to leave now and find my peace; in new surroundings, in a new world.

So when I commented above, it was on your old site. THIS is gorgeous dahling!!!!! π
I am so happy for you… So I think I may have figured this out… if you comment on my blog… I always get it (though if you have commented on the last four or five I commented back so whatever you commented or LIKED and I did not comment back (besides a happy face) though I just responded to that one too… I did not receive. So something may be up there.
But I need to remember to click on notify me on other people’s posts. Sometimes I am on my phone and don’t do it or if I am at work… so please lead me back to where you replied to me on editing?
Anyway great blog! I am super jealous! π

Thank you darlink! lol. Glad you found your way here! Ok, so, when I comment to you, I see your comments in my notifications and I reply, you should click on notifications and you will always be up to date in case you missed mails, but on the same token, you should be getting an email back. Nonetheless, I will take a screenshot and send it to you, I know you have missed a few but I really wanted you to read that one in particular, I will send it! Oh, one more place you can check is your ‘comments’ near your dashboard. xo

Me, again, lol, no you don’t have to click on notify me because it will email you everrytime anyone posts. On your main page top left corner, hover your mouse, you will see 2 columns drop down, one side is dashboard, etc. the one closed to left end of page will say reader, notifications, etc. if you click on notifications, it will show you all comments replied to you all on one page.

Now I am so confused. I know I will be notified of comments on my page but you have to click to be notified on someone else’s. I thought you replied to me on a comment I made on your blog. Ahhh. Lol.

Ok, follow me…..I made a comment on your page, when you responded to the comment it came to my notifications. I do not check, keep me informed of posts because then I get emails with everyone who posts a comment on that blog. If you click on the top where it says ‘the one thing I know’, just hover your mouse under the W for wordpress, a list will drop, notifications are there, click on and it will take you to a page with all people who comments to you without having to look at your blog. This is what I check for my comments, so when you leave me a comment, I hit a reply back to you from that page. It works for everyone I reply with, so they must be all using it, you need to get in the tech mode girlfriend! Hope this helps! Let me know! π

Again you touch me. It is a bit sad I know, but how I felt when summarizing my book. I will be posting my book cover which is just finished by my graphic artist, as soon as my web guy can get it up on my Conflicted Hearts page, it is soooooo exciting! π

It is exciting!!! I am so proud, I can say that too because as a fellow writer, I know the work, time and dedication that goes into writing anything!!! (I have 2 book that I am currently writing … about half way finished … but still far from being ready to edit and send to publish. I am hoping to be in your shoes someday. Oh, to be published would be the greatest thing ever!! It is a dream of mine, that I will not stop trying to obtain) So, yes, I am VERY proud of you!! I also can’t wait to read this book!! I MUST have an autographed copy, MUST!!! I will buy it and send it to you to sign, would you do that for me friend? π
This piece you wrote was sad, but wonderfully written. Sadness has a way of being told that is also beautiful. When a writer delicately expresses their emotions, I always enjoy that!!!
I hope your day is most beautiful!!! XoXo ~J

Oh Jen, thanks so much, you are so inspiring, honestly!!! I am really touched. Yes it’s a jungle out there with everything involved in the making of a book. Quite honestly the writing for me is the best part, as I’m sure it is for most writers. Self publishing is challenging but it is also a new journey and along the way we meet so many interesting people and broaden horizons which open up so many new doors. You my friend are a very artistic writer and your words need to be shared with the universe! My book is a bit sad but it is my truth and we cannot paint fancy words to uplift what is not there. And as you well know, your words do the same, particularly the post I reblogged of yours. As writers, we tell our truths and when it is from the soul, that is what makes it beautiful! So glad we have connected my friend and wishing you a beautiful weekend right back at ya! xo π

It is exciting!! I am so inspired and motivated by you to finish my books!! I get on them and them get overwhelmed and stop working .. it’s my cycle, and thus, my books cease to be finished. ( I also get discouraged and tell myself that my writing isn’t good enough and that no one will want to read it .. pointless thinking, I know, but it still takes place)
I can’t wait to see your book and read it!!! XOXO

Thanks for your support Jen. I know as writers, we all critique our work. I am no different. I lost count how many revisions I did before getting it to my first editor. Just finished editors changes today! Yay, I breathe! I am aiming to launch in mid-November and yes it is unnverving. It is always so much easier to stand out of the box and look at someone else. Your writing is exquisite and surely your fans acknowledge this to you, so much that it should inspire you to collaborate your poetry and make a beautiful, so I can buy it! π xoxo
